The Modern Arab Company was founded by Mr. Hamdy Mostafa in 1960. Capitalizing on his vast experience in the field, Mr. Hamdy Mostafa established his renowned publishing and printing entity. By 1963, he launched his first brand, “Selah El Telmeez", expanding his ambitious vision to include school students. His commitment to excellence turned his brand into the most essential studying book for students in primary stage (from 1st grade to 6th grade). “Selah El Telmeez” had become the industry’s generic name and the most iconic educational heritage for the 60s students and up to date.

With decades of publishing experience, we understand and anticipate the needs of authors, librarians and book distribution partners. We continuously challenge ourselves to provide the highest level of products and services.

We heavily invested in our past yet even more invested to pave the way into our future, with a strong foundation on Digital Publishing platforms and new lines of business. With a prime focus on Educational materials, we make education simplified and more fun.

Our Story

In 1963, “Selah El Telmeez" educational book series brand was launched, targeting primary school students.

in 1984, MAC published the popular Egyptian novels series “Rowayat Masrya” and a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books.
